Utopia was written by Sir Thomas More, and published in 1511 A.D., so the language and style of writing is a little bit old-fashioned and slow. It is a very thoughtful book, and radical for its time, when one belief doctrine was believed by everybody under a King's rule. Basically, it tells about Sir Thomas More's idea of a perfect society. It goes into very deep detail concerning their culture, such as their religions, beliefs, military, economy, marriage, and much, much more. Some people may deem it slow monotonous and, for lack of a better word boring. However, if you are able to read through the first 47 pages of dialouge, it gets more interesting. Not the best book for a light or easy read, and the worst possible book for a bedtime read. This is because the book requires your undivided attention while reading it, if you let your mind wander (which is very easy to do), you will miss all of the important details. I hate to admit it, but I even caught myself falling asleep while eading. Don't let that turn you away, though. It is a very good book for somone who is interested in government, society, or philosophy.
